Confirming whether or not a process is operating within it’s ‘pre-specifications’ is another crucial role for leaders. If the process is not in standard (an abnormality is occurring), problem solving begins with a simple WHY?. Recording, reviewing and learning from observations is how we systematically share knowledge within our organization, which is why the process confirmation board is equally important.
